ShopXP Rewards Programme Terms

How XP is earned, held, redeemed, reversed and used to calculate your Mzansi level.

Effective 10 September 2026 · Olympic Cleaning Solutions (Pty) Ltd t/a ShopXP

These terms use plain language for customers. They do not remove any mandatory right you have under South African law. If a mandatory law gives you greater protection, that law prevails.

1. The programme

ShopXP Rewards is a promotional loyalty programme operated by Olympic Cleaning Solutions (Pty) Ltd t/a ShopXP. Participation is free and available to eligible registered ShopXP customers while the programme is enabled.

XP is a loyalty unit only. It is not legal tender, electronic money, a deposit, an investment or property that can be sold, transferred, inherited or redeemed for cash. No interest accrues on XP.

2. Earning XP

The current base rate is 1 XP for every R10 of qualifying merchandise spend, calculated after merchandise discounts and rounded down to a whole XP. Delivery charges, fees, gift cards, excluded products and any non-qualifying amount do not earn XP.

Your order confirmation and XP Wallet show the expected award. XP first appears as pending and is not available to spend until 14 days after confirmed delivery, provided the order has not been cancelled, returned, refunded or flagged for legitimate review.

3. XP value and redemption

The current redemption value is 100 XP = R1. The current minimum redemption is 1,000 XP. Only available XP can be used, in whole XP amounts, by a signed-in customer on their own eligible basket.

The current standard maximum XP discount is 10% of eligible merchandise in a basket. Checkout displays the binding maximum for that basket. XP cannot ordinarily pay delivery charges, fees, gift cards or excluded items and cannot reduce an order below zero.

4. Mzansi Levels

Level XP is calculated from qualifying earned XP that has not been reversed. It is separate from your spendable XP balance, so redeeming available XP does not by itself reduce your level progress.

  • Howzit: 0 to 2,499 Level XP — earn and redeem XP, access XP Prices and view the XP Wallet.
  • Sharp: 2,500 to 9,999 Level XP — all Howzit benefits, plus eligibility for selected Deal Drop early access and controlled bonus-XP offers.
  • Lekker: 10,000 to 24,999 Level XP — all Sharp benefits, plus a priority-support indicator and eligibility for stronger personalised offers and a controlled delivery reward.
  • Mzansi Legend: 25,000 or more Level XP — all Lekker benefits, plus first-access eligibility for selected major drops, selected 2× XP events and exclusive account recognition.

5. Level benefits are eligibility, not a permanent promise

A level benefit marked as eligible means you may be included when a qualifying campaign is active; it does not guarantee a discount, free delivery, special price, multiplier, stock allocation or invitation.

ShopXP does not award a permanent higher earning multiplier by level. Delivery rewards, XP multipliers and special prices must be expressly enabled by the operator and displayed with their applicable campaign rules.

6. Controlled campaigns

  • Every delivery reward, XP multiplier or special XP price must have an administrator-configured start and end date.
  • Each campaign must have a total cost or XP budget and a per-customer cap.
  • A campaign is subject to contribution-margin checks and only runs while explicitly enabled.
  • A campaign stops automatically when its budget is exhausted, even if its scheduled end date has not arrived.
  • Campaign-specific product, customer, channel, stock and geographic eligibility may apply.

7. Cancellations, returns and corrections

XP associated with cancelled, refunded, charged-back or returned merchandise is cancelled or reversed. Pending XP never becomes available for that merchandise. Eligible redeemed XP is restored after a cancellation or refund is finalised, subject to proportional adjustment on partial returns.

We may correct duplicate, mistaken or fraudulently obtained ledger entries. Manual adjustments require an audit reason. We will not remove correctly earned XP arbitrarily.

8. Expiry, changes and programme closure

XP does not expire while expiry is disabled. If expiry is introduced, ShopXP will publish the rule and give reasonable advance notice before available XP begins to expire, except where immediate action is required by law, fraud prevention or security.

ShopXP may change future earn rates, redemption settings, thresholds, benefits or programme availability to keep the programme sustainable. Changes do not retrospectively reduce a completed redemption. Material adverse changes will be communicated reasonably.

9. Fair use and account closure

We may pause XP activity while investigating account takeover, fabricated orders, return abuse, payment fraud, multiple-account manipulation, resale of benefits or automated exploitation. We may cancel improperly obtained XP and suspend participation after a fair review.

You may close your ShopXP account by contacting hello@shopxp.co.za. Unredeemed XP is forfeited when an account is permanently deleted, subject to applicable law and any required retention period.

10. Queries and disputes

Check your XP Wallet first. If a transaction looks wrong, email hello@shopxp.co.za with the order number and relevant details. XP records are maintained in an auditable ledger and we will investigate reasonable disputes.
