1. What cookies are
Cookies are small data files stored by your browser. Similar local technologies may perform the same function. This policy explains ShopXP's use of cookies and should be read with the Privacy & POPIA Policy.
2. Essential ShopXP cookies
- Cart cookie: connects your browser to the active basket and preserves it between pages.
- Authentication cookie: keeps a signed-in customer securely authenticated.
- Region and locale cookies: select the correct South African region, currency and language preferences.
- Cache and verification cookies: support performance, account registration and safe return from a payment provider.
3. Payment and third-party cookies
When you continue to Paystack or another payment provider, that provider may set cookies on its own domain for payment security, fraud prevention and transaction processing. Its privacy and cookie terms apply in that environment.
4. Analytics and advertising
ShopXP does not currently describe non-essential advertising cookies as necessary. If analytics, personalisation or advertising cookies are introduced, this policy and any required consent control will be updated before they are used where consent is required.
5. Your controls
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the cart, account, checkout, payment return or regional catalogue from working correctly.
